Hi,

Nowdays when we are trying to register our service contracts, Cisco want to know the serial number of the camera aswell. We usually don't write that down.

Is there any way to get those serial numbers through Putty over Telnet or SSH?

Michel,

Depends on the codec.  If it is a C series codec running TC4 or higher you should be able to get the camera S/N by using the command 'xstatus cam' when in TELNET/SSH.

Thanks,

Justin

Hello Michael, the serial numbers on the CTS endpoints Can be recovered from the logs (full set). Is there a particular set (model) endpoints that you are wanting to gather this information? I can provide additional details as needed.

Depends on the System also, for an IX5000, you SSH and use the "show hardware system" Command
