Has anyone run into and issue with Cisco Room kits, and or Bars that the HDMI content audio can be heard locally but not on the far end. Either through a Webex call or Teams CVI call?

The Webex Room Kit is designed for small conference rooms and spaces that seat up to seven people. It has an integrated speaker for audio output, but it does not support HDMI audio.

The data sheet states that the Webex Room Kit is ideal for rooms that seat up to seven people, and that it includes a camera, codec, speakers, and microphones integrated in a single device. The data sheet also states that the only audio output is a 1 line out mini-jack (stereo).

Please see the following link for the Webex Room Kit data sheet:

I believe they are using Cisco Room Bars

Webex Room Bar offers a unique audio output capability not found on the Webex Room Kit.

As specified in the endpoint's data sheet, the Room Bar has two audio outputs: a DisplayPort/USB-C output and a USB-A output.

For more information, please see the Webex Room Bar data sheet at the following link:

The statement that Room Kits don't support HDMI audio is incorrect. I have Kit's, Kit Mini's, plus and pro, and all of them support the ability to hear audio in the room and for it to be heard on the far end when being shared. If fact it's a part of our checkout process when a new system is installed, we will connect our laptop to the codec via HDMI and play a youtube video, and it needs to be heard both in the room and at the far end when the laptop is being shared in call. We do not use audio cables, just HDMI from the laptop to the codec. That said - are you having this issue on a lot of systems or just one?
