I've searched unsuccesfully for the answer to this question. Are their PVDMs in these codecs or is this purely done in software?
TIA,
Amir

Hi Amir,
The Multisite option is accomplished by the hardware of the C series end points(C40, C60 & C90) however you need to purchase the Multisite license for activating this feature.

Hi Mukesh / Prateek,
Thank you both for your replies. I was wondering if these codecs use chips similiar to the PVDMs in IOS routers?
TIA,
Amir

Hi Amir,
Yes Mukesh is absolutely correct.
C series endpoints (C40,C60,C90) except C20,have the Multisite Option key accomplished in Hardware, However you need to purchase the Multisite License key and enter the key into the device to get this feature to work.
Regards,
Prateek

Hi Amir,
Multisite function is achived by both hardware and software .reharding you r question about pvdm used in router , Chips may not be same as both are diffrent hardware and video ep hardware developed by Tandberg R & D before cisco acquisition .
