Polycom and Cisco in TelePresence Server

When I join a Polycom 3 screen endpoint to a TelePresence Server 8710, do I need to use grouped endpoints?

What is the behavior when you have 1 CTS 1000 and 1 Polycom 3 screens in a TelePresence Server 8710?

  • The CTS 1000 sees only the active speaker on Polycom side? Do we also see in the Hollywood stripe the other 2 screens ?
  • In Polycom 3 screen what do you see in each screen? Do you see only 1 CTS 1000 in lead screen and in the other 2 blank ? or In each screen do you see the CTS 1000 ?

Anyone please? I probably need to clarify that there is no TIP (with TIP it will just behave as a CTS 3000)

Thanks

First of all, I believe you need the Third Party Interop license on the 8710 to properly connect the Polycom 3-screen TP system, RPX or TPX.  It would need to be predefined on the 8710 as a grouped endpoint.  When it is the primary speaker being delivered to a single screen endpoint, I believe the main camera is the dominant/large window with a filmstrip of all the cameras across the bottom.
