can you please tell me if the CTS-RMT-TRC6 can work with a TTC8-05 codec camera and CE8 verison software of a codec ?

Yes, the TRC6 remote will work with the Precision 40 camera and that particular remote control is meant to be used with CE8 software.  Only the SX10/20/80, MX200/300 G2, MX700/800, and DX70/80 endpoints support CE8 software.

Matter of fact the SX20, part number CTS-SX20N-P40-K9, comes with the Precision 40 camera, TRC6 remote, and CE8 software.

Yes, the endpoint and camera will work with the TRC6 remote and CE8, that is the same items that are included when you purchase a new SX20 with CE8 software (the CTS-SX20N-P40-K9 part number I provided earlier for reference).
