Room Kit direct call without registration

Hi!

Can Room Kit/Plus make direct calls withour registration?

As I understand it works with CE9. So it means that it can make direct call via SIP/H.323  without any registration.

Am i right?

All I know is what I've read here: MSRP endpoints registered to CUCM.

Wow, never saw that before! That is crazy :(
However, it appears from the language that it is technically possible to do on-prem SIP, H.323 or Direct H.323 without a subscription; but you would be in violation of their Terms & Agreements.
Either way, it appears to me that there is nothing in the software stopping you from using the codec anyway you want, just legal stuff; which is important, don't get me wrong.

What if we require the other way around. I mean if we have bought an endpoint under the GPL pricing and use as a standalone device(H.323), can it be registered later on the cloud (with subscriptions)?

Thanks.

Yes it can you need to pay for the device reg of 29.50 LIST or if you have flex licensing it would be covered

Spark registered endpoints are SIP only, they can only dial URI, ie: alias@domain. If the Spark Room Kit is registered to an on-premise call control server such as CUCM or VCS/Expressway, than it can support calling via H323 and/or SIP.

EDIT: It appears the information I provided was incorrect.
