Dear Partrick/All,

I have a brand new DX80 and it has obtained an IP address from DHCP server but I want to set a static IP on it and I have configured it under network but for some reason it is not working, I restarted it a couple of times still no luck.

May I know how I boot it with static IP address, please?

Software Version: ce 8.2.2 Final 3263c59 2016-09-26

Thanks in advance

Regards,

Syed

Did you change the allocation from DHCP to Static?

Can you provide a copy of the network configuration, either a backup from the web interface or via SSH?

Hi Syed,

I was just referring the bug even though it is related to 10.2.5 Android while bug refers to CE firmware

Static IP settings disappear when LAN cable unplugged
CSCve17863

Description
Symptom:
- Configure static IPv4 on DX80
- Shutdown DX80
- Unplug LAN cable
- Turn on DX80
- Check settings and you'll see the following cosmetic issues:
1) On Ethernet settings page, can see "DHCP released" under IPv4 Settings text
2) Go to IPv4 Settings page, and you can see the 'static' checkbox is unchecked and IP address info is missing
3) After plugging in LAN cable, on Ethernet settings page we can see it says "DHCP enabled" even though the static IP settings are back

Please note this does not seem to have any impact, but it is confusing for the customers, because static IP address settings should still appear if LAN cable is unplugged.

Conditions:
10-2-4 and 10-2-5 versions

Workaround:
Ignore, cosmetic issue
Check if this helps.

Bouncing network port fixed the problem. But this is weird.

Thanks for your time.
