hey guys,
Recently we have provided 2nos. SX10 to one of our customers, where we are not having Proxy server.
that customer is having some 4 other polycom endpoints at different locations, we are able to make calls from SX10 to other polycom endpoints through direct point to point IP dialling . But with 1 of the locations, calls are connecting but no video is coming on the call, connected only on audio call.
Someone suggested that it is because there is no proxy server, can someone suggest alternate way to resolve this issue, as we have already supplied the SX10 endpoints & we cant go for proxy server here.
Any help would be really appreciable.
Thanks in Advance

Audio but no video, or one way video/audio issues are usually firewall related. Make sure you have all the relevant firewall ports opened. If you do a search for SX20 Standalone in the forums you will find many posts about using the SX10/SX20/C20/EX90 devices and the required ports.

hey wayne,
we have checked the list of ports from our side, all the ports have been open, since we are using SIP protocol without any proxy server, could that be an issue here, if yes what is the alternate solution for that.

No, this has got nothing to do with having, or not having, a proxy server. As Wayne said, this symptom is normally firewall related, however, it could also be a SIP compatibility issue with this particular Polycom system.
Is this PLCM system behind a different firewall? Are there any differences between it and the other Polycom systems as far as model, firmware etc goes?
