Hello all,
We're setting up a SX20 which we want to use in combination with Webex Meetings Server first for internal use. We also have CUCM 9.1, Presence/IM 9.1 (Jabber).
The SX20 has provisioning options for Webex but it seems that's suited for the cloudversion and not the on-premise version. At this moment it's a bit unclear how to fit the pieces together. Any straight forward documentation about how to use the SX20 with the on-premise Webex solution is almost non-existent.
If we want to use the SX20 in Webex meetings do we need an Expressway in any form or is a registration on the CUCM enough ? What parts need specific integration with Webex to make it work ?
This is a bit of a new area for use (except CUCM and Presence) and we're busy learning the ropes.
Thanx in advance!
Regards,
Marcel Tempelman.

I am not so sure if video from TelePresence is supported by today in CWMS.
At least I do not find it in the product info:
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/conferencing/webex-meetings-server/data_sheet_c78-717754.html
If you do not get a better answer here, reach out to your Cisco partner / contact,
maybe there is some roadmap info under NDA for you.

The SX20 cannot call into a Webex call natively. You need to configure Webex Enabled Telepresence (CMR Hybrid as its called today). This will require Expressways, MCU/vTS and TMS. This solution will only work with the Webex cloud solution, no CWMS support today.

We opened a case with the Partner Helpline and I got some more information. The SX20, at this moment, can not be registered as an end-point on the on-premise Webex Meetings Server. You have to use the Cloudbased service (like you already mentioned in this thread).
Thank you for the input.

Just to be clear, you cant register the SX20 to either CWMS nor Webex cloud. You can only call into a Webex meeting that is hosted on the cloud. If they said that you can register to the cloud, its a different product "Webex Telepresence" which is basically you use the endpoints but leverage Cisco's back end infrastructure. Will you be able to call into a Webex call using their infrastructure..that i am not sure.

Some short comments / thoughts.
What Marcel most likely initially refered to was the configuration option on the endpoint itself,
which seems to be a newer name for the CallWay service, which I think is/was only present in the US.

xConfiguration Provisioning Mode
It is possible to configure a video system using a provisioning system (external manager). This allows video conferencing network administrators to manage many video systems simultaneously. With this setting you choose which type of provisioning system to use. Provisioning can also be switched off. Contact your provisioning system provider/representative for more information.
Requires user role: ADMIN
Value space: <Off/TMS/VCS/CallWay/CUCM/Auto/Edge>
Off: The video system will not be configured by a provisioning system.
TMS: The video system will be configured using TMS (Cisco TelePresence Management System).
VCS: The video system will be configured using VCS (Cisco TelePresence Video Communication Server).
Callway: The video system will be configured using the WebEx TelePresence subscription service (formerly named Callway).
In addition yes, you should be able to natively dial in to the CWMS, but sure not really efficient, audio only.
The SX20 would be registered to CUCM and CWMS is integrated with CUCM.
For the video integration with the cloud based webex serivce would be done via the VCS or Expressway and requires
also a Bridge/Mcu on site.
