I have Tandberg C20 with TC4 firmware.
without knowing that when upgrading to TC5, i would require release key to be installed also.
my device is without contract, please advise how should i proceeed ?
1. Downgrade back to TC4 ?
2. Contact licensing Team ?
3. Or remain TC5, device can be use although error prompt out missing key ?

Hi,
It seems only release key missing is for TC 5.
Yes, if you upgrade to TC 6 , required release key is already added in your system.
NOTE: It is recommended to do a step upgrade from TC 4.x to TC 5.x and then to TC 6.x as these are the major software changes.

You won't be able to make calls without proper release key installed. For now to get this device up and running, you can revert back to TC 4.
You should reach out to your Cisco Account's Manager first to get SN# of this C20 added in an active contract and then open a case with Cisco Licensing Team to acquire release keys for TC 5, TC 6 and TC 7 to upgrade it to latest firmware ( TC 7.3.13 as of now).

yeah, i managed to revert to TC4.2.4
i noticed at the web console, it written that my device is entitle with TC 4, TC 6 & TC 7 release key.
is it mean , if i able to get TC 6, no need release key required ?
fyi, i dont have active contract

Try sending the email below to licensing@cisco.com, make sure you put your serial number in at the bottom:

I have a customer that is requesting TC5 & TC6 release keys due to the following Cisco advisory. (Cisco states they will generate keys for affected units)
The customer will also need access to TC5 & TC6 software, since they cannot download from the Cisco site due to not having a contract.

Upgrade to TC5 then TC6 and if you can get access to the TC7 software, then do that as well.

You should be able to get to get your own keys from https://software.cisco.com/software/swift/lrp/#/pak.
Select "Get Licences", then "TelePresence software release key", put in your serial number, then you will be able to select which software version key you want and have it emailed to you.
From the link above, here are your keys for that serial number:
TC5 - 1TC005-1-85FDDF27
TC6 - 1TC006-1-ADABF2B4
TC7 - 1TC007-1-36FF8C25
