VIC2-4FXO not working on Cisco 2811

Hi All,

I have installed VIC2-4FXO card on Cisco 2811 at slot 3.

Following is the results of output commands

command "show inventory" reveals

NAME: "2nd generation four port FXO voice interface daughtercard on Slot 0 SubSlot 3", DESCR: "2nd generation four port FXO voice interface daughtercard"

PID: VIC2-4FXO         , VID: V01 , SN: FOC103031YV

command "show version" reveals

Cisco 2811 (revision 53.51) with 249856K/12288K bytes of memory.

Processor board ID FHK1237F2GX

2 FastEthernet interfaces

1 Virtual Private Network (VPN) Module

4 Voice FXO interfaces

DRAM configuration is 64 bits wide with parity enabled.

239K bytes of non-volatile configuration memory.

62720K bytes of ATA CompactFlash (Read/Write)

but when I give the command "show voice port summary" nothing is displayed.

I am using the following IOS, "c2800nm-adventerprisek9-mz.124-22.T4.bin".

This is now becoming a show stopper for me. Kindly help me out.

What else does 'show inventory' show?

Do you have PVDMs? If not, no voice ports will activate. You will also likely see a message when the router is booting relating to this problem.

I think I am missing PVDMs, but anyhow If PVDMs are missing, why port is not being activated?

"show inventory" complete output is this

Thanks after installation PVDM it worked.
