WebEx Edge Audio integration with Expressway-Edge - Dial-In number - Not acceptable Media error

Hi

We have CUCM 12.5 and Expressway-Core and Edge x12.6

Currently integrated with Cloud WebEx Edge audio. Incoming call to SIP devices registered with CUCM are working fine. However, if we dial WebEx Dial-in Toll free number we are getting Not acceptable Media error in Expressway-Edge.

Collected Dial-in Numbers and Lua Script From Webex Control Hub

Example if we dial WebEx Dial-in Phone Numbers 80003305914 from inside CUCM registered SIP phone. we are getting Not acceptable Media error in Expressway-Edge.

Enterprise Parameters Advertise G.722 Codec choose Enabled. DP and Region settings are alright matched with Phone settings, still same error.

Attached Exp-E search history screenshot.

Pls. advise.

SIP 488 error tends to be codec related, sometimes early offer as well.

Can you try this:
1: Please make sure the SIP Trunk from CUCM has early offer configured on the SIP Profile.
2: Enable MTP Required on the SIP Trunk - This will allow us to force an MTP resource and if the call goes through, we are dealing with a codec mismatch.

Hi Mike

early off already exists and tried with MTP. But same issue.

I don't have _sip._tcp.mydomain.com, I have entry only for _sips._tcp.mydomain.com in public DNS and between CUCM and Expressway-Core is SIP/TCP. Is this creating any issue ?

Does the SIP Profile of the Edge Audio SIP trunk facing Expressway-C have iX Media *unchecked* (aka Active Control)? That is a known limitation called out in the Edge Audio config guide.
Assuming you want to Active Control for SIP URI calls to/from Webex, you will need a dedicated trunk for Edge Audio.
As for DNS SRV records, the _sips._tcp record resolves to the MTLS port 5062 (default), correct?
