Webex (Spark) Room Kit Plus - no audio using HDMI inputs

We have a Spark Room Kit Plus that is unable to play audio over HDMI input 1 or HDMI input 2.  The audio for a video call works perfectly.  The video over the HDMI is also great but the audio is not playing.  My laptop recognizes the Codec in the sound settings and I can control the volume but still no sound is displayed from the speaker bar.

Has anyone experienced this before and if so, what did you do to resolve the issue?

Thanks

It is possible that your laptop is not actually putting audio out through the hdmi cable.

If you connect your laptop directly to a TV HDMI input, do you get audio then?

If not, things you can try are BIOS and driver updates for your laptop from the vendor's website.  If that doesn't work, I'd contact support for your laptop.

If audio direct to a TV does work, but not through the codec.....I think I'd contact Cisco TAC for support.

Hi there, any solution for this issue?
i think i got the same problem here. There is no audio problem when I plug HDMI output to the TV, but when i plug to the codec the audio is not playing.

Agung

Do you have the HDMI Input Audio turned on on the RoomKit?

xConfiguration Audio Input HDMI 2 Mode: On
xConfiguration Audio Input HDMI 3 Mode: On

Also, is there video present with the audio?  If not, then it may be muted by the MuteOnInactiveVideo option:

xConfiguration Audio Input HDMI 2 VideoAssociation MuteOnInactiveVideo: On
xConfiguration Audio Input HDMI 3 VideoAssociation MuteOnInactiveVideo: On

You also didn't mention which software version you are running on your RoomKit, so it may be an issue if you're using an older release.   The current release as of the date of this post is CE9.5.0.

I opened a TAC case with Cisco. It turned out to be a hardware issue and Cisco sent me a replacement. Performed the backup and restore process and the replacement device works great.
