Calls from Unity

Does anyone know if there is a way to setup Unity so that when a user calls into their mailbox from a remote location, they can then capture an external line and make a call from within Unity?

Hi Nicholas,

This is referred to as DISA = Direct Inward System Access. There are ways

to do this but be ***very careful*** as this can open you up for Toll Fraud and

therefore is not really recommended;

Rob is dead on, I wouldn't recommend doing this.  But, if you do - make sure you set up restriction tables within Unity to differentiate classes of users

as opposed to opening this up to everyone.  In addition, any number you are willing to allow to be dialed needs to be allowed via the Unity restriction tables and also the CSS assigned the ports Unity is using for dial out.

A better option, depending on how many people you want to roll this out to, may be to look at the Mobility features within CUCM - particularly the Mobile Voice Access option.
