Cisco Unified Call Manger 6.1.3 and ip phones 6921

Hi,

We have Cisco Unified Call Manger 6.1.3 supporting approx. 500 cisco 79xx series phones. We will moving to version 8.0 in a few moths and would like to try out cisco 69xx series phones on our existing Call Manger. Is this possible if so what steps do we need to follow?

Hi Simon,

Support for the 6921 was not added until the 7.1(2) CUCM release

Signaling protocol support

The phones are supported in Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Cisco Unified Communications Manager Business Edition Versions 7.1.2 and later using Skinny Client Control Protocol (SCCP) or SIP with Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Cisco Unified Communications Manager Business Edition Versions 7.1.5 and later.
