Hi,
I have a cluster with two cucm servers (pub and sub). I am planning to add another subscriber to the cluster and I wanted to know if I needed any license in order for me to join the new subscriber. The application shows that I have 2 remaining units in the CCM Node License Feature section which make me believe that I am OK adding the new server.
I am not adding any new phones, I am just relocating a portion from the existing cluster to have this subscriber as their primary server; therefore, I shouldn't need any licenses here, should I?
It is also my understanding that I have to configure the new node in the Publisher before I procceed with the install. Am I correct?
I am open to any suggestions regarding this process. Thanks in advanced.

Hi
Yes, this all looks and sounds correct. Add the new Sub to the Pub in the CUCM config, and then physically install the new Sub. You will need the cluster security password to do this as well. If you have two units remaining in CUCM licensing, then all will be fine.

Hi
Yep - 2 nodes available, 2 nodes you can add.
Just add the new server under System/Servers in CCMAdmin on your current pub first. You'll need your cluster password to do it...
