CM12.5-K9-LAB - CSF devices using enhanced/enhanced plus and not CUWL

License should borrow up right? Admittedly I'm a bit of a noob on smart licensing things, so I'm probably missing something. I purchased this lab license back around May, set up my server and then took a hiatus. Back at it now, was getting softphones going, but i was greeted with compliance problems - CSF devices not being assigned to the CUWL licenses. My entitlement is:

SW CM/SME 12.5 Lab Only, 20 CUWL, 5 TP Room , 50 CER

Google wasn't revealing on this one.

I figured those licenses would be bundled in and handled, but that is not the case? Have a TAC case open, but no idea when that'll get touched (my own account).

CUWL license will be used if multiple devices( 2 or more)  are assigned with same owner ID. if  you are using a single CSF device The license requirement for CUCM is one enhanced licenses. If there is no enhanced licenses on your smart account, this will be borrowed from upper tier. If you do license reservation this is not applicable.

TO consume CUWL, assign multiple devices with same owner.

I was able to get CUWL to increment in licensing - when i added a third additional device (deskphone).
However, that's saying it's still out of compliance, so not sure what's up now.
This seems like a TAC thing now I guess.

Thanks for stepping in on this Nithin!

Does your Smart account  shows all license you purchased?

have you connected your CUCM to smart account ? If not connect this using cloud or Onprem SSM

On the licensing page in CUCM it should have a link on each license type listing the devices used by that license type.

Can you show a screenshot of the license page including the out of compliance message?

As I understand it (and I could be wrong) standard CUCM devices (phones/CSF/etc) will not use the TP licenses as those are a different category. And certainly the CER licenses are not applicable. Do you have more than 20 users with licensed devices associated?

Could you please check the actual license utilization in CUCM by navigating to System --> Licensing --> License management and also make sure that the system is in sync with the smart licensing portal.

Came back to update. The issue was related to a licensing problem related to the partner. I had used a public domain in my smart account when I purchased the license. I setup a new smart account with a private domain for my email and the partner moved it to the new one.
