Guys
I am trying to configure an external database on Presence for the Group Chat & Persistent Chat feature.
However , when it tries to test the connect , under the verify external database service connectivity it fails.
I've attached a screenshot with the error.

I fixed this problem.
On the POSTGRS server, I needed to amend the file pg_hba.conf
I had to change the method from MD5 to TRUSTAnd the ip address to the IP address of my presence servers

Hi,
Thanks for updating the post. The following doc can be followed for Cisco Unified Presence Server PostgreSQL External Database
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/unified-communications/unified-presence-version-80/117735-cups-postgres-00.html
It has reference to the pg_hba.conf config as well.

Do you know if there a document to show you how to configure the jabber-config.xml file so chat rooms appear as on option in the cisco jabber client?
