CUCM 11.5 - Tomcat Session error

Hi,

We notice this error "test - tomcat_sessions : Failed - The following web applications have an unusually large number of active sessions: _root. Please collect all of the Tomcat logs for root cause analysis: file get activelog tomcat/logs/* on one of our subscribers.  I found some similar errors caused by these bugs CSCvd27298  and CSCvg69227. I wasn't able to find one that mention the "root".  Can someone confirm if this is a bug or advise the necessary actions for resolution? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

The first defect (CSCvd27298) is most likely relevant in your situation since the second one is affecting IM&P only. Normally, it this isn't  a reason for concern since this is a classified as a cosmetic defect. Unless it causes performance issues such as CPU spikes and high memory utilization, then you can ignore it.
