Hi
We are planning to implement CUCM 11 in our Organization. We have around 400 Users; we are looking for following Solution:
Primary Datacenter:
CUCM Publisher & CUC Publisher
CUCM Subscriber & CUC Subscriber
Disaster Recovery Datacenter:
CUCM Publisher & CUC Publisher
CUCM Subscriber & CUC Subscriber
Can we achieve high availability of Publisher in CUCM & CUC 11?

Why do you need 2 clusters for 400 users? Typically you deploy your publishers in the primary data center along subs if desired, and other components in secondary data center, assuming you meet WAN deployment requirements (bandwidth and latency).
So, for 400 users you should need:
Primary Datacenter:
CUCM Publisher & CUCM Subscriber
CUC Publisher (only 2 nodes can be in CUC cluster)
Disaster Recovery Datacenter:
CUCM Subscriber
CUC Subscriber
The configure your CUCM and CUC to use the primary data center servers as primary resources.
If you lose your primary data center all operation will still work, you will not be able to make any changes until you restore it.

The only supported method is via DRS, you can use some VMWare options, but you need to read the caveats on them in the virtualization wiki.
if you're asking if you can install more then one PUB in a cluster, the answer is no.

Thanks all of you guys for your expert thoughts.
Chris your solution makes more sense as per our requirement.
What would be the recommended or optimum way to recover Publisher in case of Hardware Failure, keeping in mind the minimal downtime.

2 ways:
1. restore from DRS backup (need the same IP and hostname)

2. recover from Sub:

Thanks Chris.
Really appreciate your sincere concern.

The servers run as VM's anyway so I am not sure of the benefit in having a Pub and Sub in the same DC unless you are trying to mitigate a server failure? I guess having two UCS hosts, one for the Pub and one for the Sub will achieve that but its a lot of expense for servers which rarely fail.
400 users is a small number really so I would be looking to do a Pub in one DC and a Sub in the other.
