CUCM 8.0.3.23900-5 Serial Number

I need to raise a TAC for an issue with the above product. The Cisco support line recognizes our contract but wants a serial number before assisting. That's easy to find on routers and switches, but if there such a thing as a serial number with CUCM, Cisco have hidden it extraordinarily well. It's not reported anywhere I can find on the the admin console or the CLI.

Does anyone know where or if there is a serial number somewhere buried in CUCM?

It would be better if this information (serial number) was available in CUCM with the MAC address, since we (technicians) call in when codecs are not responding, but we are hoping to troubleshoot this issue while the device is still in the rack, rather than having to take the device out of the rack simply to find the serial number; and then would have to put a codec back in the rack to troubleshoot to receive an RMA, and then take it out of the rack again to send it in...  The fact that tech support requires a support contract number or serial number versus using the MAC address makes getting tech support for simple issues very cumbersome, and many technicians dealing with faulty codecs don't have access to network equipment to make the above post useful, nor do onsite technicians often have product purchase codes or purchase information of any sort.

Why are you referring to Codecs when the OP is asking about Communication Manager?

Apart from this the post is from way back in 2016 and is marked as solved. Putting off topic comments on a post is not considered a proper thing to do.
