CUCM BAT Users Primary DN without phone association

how do you pre-populate the DN in Cisco Unified Communications Manager

I am attempting to add Voice Mail Only users in CUCM on BE6K and then importing to CUCXN.

But I cannot get the Primary DN to be populated in the user in CUCM. Instructions say to "pre-populate the DN in Cisco Unified Communications Manager"

Error in BAT attempt - Users get added but warning Primary DN does not exist.

By-the-way -> No AD integration.

I think I understand the issue.

It is because you cannot populate a DN under the Primary DN field when the user isn't associated to a device. Only a user that is associated with a device (with a DN of course), you will see that you can select a DN in the drop-down box of the Primary DN field.

So... why not just create manually the Voice Mail users on the CUCXN itself? Why trying to import the users from the CUCM?
