Hi all,

I tried to install CUCM8 on VMware workstaion7, but failed.  It showed " ......the hardware you are using is not supported for this product ...."

( attachment vw error.jpg)

i read some discussions in this community,  not sure if it is related to my vitrul machine hardware specification( pls. see attachment vw hw spec. jpg) ,  the CUCM8 image file, or sth. else.

Hope somebody could help,  thanks.

The CUCM8 image file i used is from the following link:

http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/release.html?mdfid=282827095&flowid=5329&softwareid=282074295&release=8.0%283%29&rellifecycle=&relind=AVAILABLE&reltype=all

file:

Hi Howard,

8.0.3 is the only CUCM version I've had issues with loading into Workstation.  Use 8.0.(3a)SU2 and you should be fine.

HTH,

Chris

Hi Chris,

I tried CUCM 8.0(3a)SU2 and got the exact error message ".... the hardware you are using is not supported for this product ...."

CUCM 8.0(3a)SU2 link:

http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/release.html?mdfid=282827095&flowid=5329&softwareid=282074295&release=8.0%283a%29SU2&rellifecycle=&relind=AVAILABLE&reltype=all

Any idea?       Thanks

Hi

I wouldn't normally add two disks - maybe try removing one (leaving the one at SCSI ID 0:0 in place).

I tried removing the HDD and just left one HDD,  still got the same error message.....

My VMware workstaion is running on HP DL360 G3 server,  intel CPU, windows 2003.  And i successfully installed CUCM7 on it....    It is weird to get that error......

Any thoughts everyone?
