Hi,
In our environment the customer require to customize greeting when someone dial a non-exist extension number.
Does it possible?
Our environment is BE6K so the incoming call maybe from internal IP Phone (should be response from CUCM) or from PSTN to auto attendant (should be response from CUC).
Thanks..
Adam

Hi Adam,
On CUCM it is only possible to configure it if you know the range of such a non-existent number. This is because on cucm any call routing happens on the basis of dialed number, if you define a number or range it can be forwarded to Unity connection or UCCX to play a recorded greeting. Although it is highly unlikely to predict the range of such non-existent numbers dialed by a caller.

1) Create a user mailbox in unity connection with the required greeting. Lets say extension 1111.
2) Create a CTI RP in CUCM, assign that extension 1111 to the CTI RP and set call fwd all to voicemail.
3) Now create a Translation Pattern with your unassigned numbers:
e.g 555[2-8] or whatever may need one or more TPs depending on your unassigned ranges and under the called party transformations in the called party transform mask enter the extension created in step 1 1111.
So every time a number is called in that range, it will forward to the extension 1111 which in turn in will fwd to voicemail with the greeting you record.
