Forwording Voicemail Messages

We have a centralized voicemail system with 10 digit mailboxes for scalability. However users at our largest site would like to be able to forward messages by the last four digits. We don't want to use alternate extensions or partition the system. Any thoughts on how to do this and still maintain number plan consistency?

alternate extensions in site specific partitions is the only way to achive this, why are you oppose to it? I do this on all variable length dial plan deployments and works out well.
