FXO port configuration

Hello guys,

I'm having difficulties here on assigning different extension to different voice-port. Currently I have 4 incoming lines (PSTN) to my FXO port router (c2911). Lets  say if I wanted to assign 2 FXO ports to specific extension and the  remaining FXO ports is for others extension, how the configuration looks  like?

voice-port 0/1/2

For example, I have these extension numbers : 2001,2002,2003,2004,2005,2006,2007,2008

I want to assign extension 2001,2002,2003 and 2004 to use voice-port 0/1/0 and voice-port 0/1/1 for incoming/outgoing calls while extension 2005 to 2008 using voice-port 0/1/2 and voice-port 0/1/3. How the dial-peer configuration looks like? Much appreciated if you guys can assist me on this.

Zulfadli Zakaria

Are these simply FXO lines with one phone number for each, or are these FXS/DID DID lines?

Since you mentioed the first one there is no way to map out one line to multiple extensions unless you build a hunt list and hunt the calls through the hunt list.

The way you map FXO lines to extensions is the following:

voice-port 0/1/0

connection plar 2001.

If they are FXS/DID circuits then the telco controls which numbers arrive on which lines.
