Hello,
As I continue to learn CME by experimenting in my house, I am trying to create a setup where a call coming in on my line from the phone company will ring all phones in the house. I'd also like to be able to put a call on hold from one phone and pick it up on another.
It looks like the feature best able to do this is shared lines (please correct me if I'm wrong). Right now I can make an outgoing call from either phone, but when an incoming call happens, it only rings one of the two phones -- it seems random which one it rings.
Here's what I have right now for the configuration:
voice-port 0/1/0
connection plar opx 2074
caller-id enable
!
voice register dn 3
number 2074
name outside line
shared-line
voice register pool 1
busy-trigger-per-button 2
id mac xxxx.xxxx.xxxx
type 7821
number 1 dn 1
number 2 dn 3
dtmf-relay sip-kpml
description 4001
codec g711ulaw
no vad
paging-dn 1
!
voice register pool 2
busy-trigger-per-button 2
id mac xxxx.xxxx.xxxx
type 7821
number 1 dn 2
number 2 dn 3
number 3 dn 12
dtmf-relay sip-kpml
description 4002
codec g711ulaw
no vad
paging-dn 1

Looks like I just needed to rerun create-profile under voice register global and then run a restart under each phone's pool. I just tried it and I can put a call on hold and then go resume it on another phone. Thanks!
