Good day all.
Please assist with high level steps for configuring an AA on Unity to play recorded promo messages when certain digits are pressed. Example is press 1 for info on Books and 2 for info on Movies. When 1 or 2 is pressed a recorded info will play and hangup the call on completion. I see a lot of examples for transferring calls like press 1 for Sales and 2 for Finance. Which transfers calls to the respective Sales and Finance extensions. I wish to play a message instead of transferring.

Certainly, setting up an Auto Attendant (AA) in Unity Connection to play recorded messages based on pressed digits is a bit different from the more common call transferring scenario. Here's a high-level overview of the steps you can follow:
Record Messages: Record the promotional messages that you want to play when the caller presses certain digits. Make sure these messages are clear and concise.
Create Call Handlers: In Unity Connection, you will create a Call Handler for each of your options (e.g., "Books" and "Movies"). Each Call Handler will be associated with a specific digit (1 for Books and 2 for Movies).
Configure Call Handlers: For each Call Handler, configure the following settings:
Set Key Mappings: Unity Connection allows you to configure key mappings to associate certain digits with specific actions. Configure the key mappings to direct calls to the appropriate Call Handlers based on the digits pressed:
Voicemail Box Configuration: Since you want the call to hang up after the message plays, you need to configure the behavior after the greeting is played. Set the "After Greeting" action to "Hang up."
Testing: Test the setup by calling the AA and pressing the designated digits. The system should play the recorded messages for the chosen options and automatically hang up after playing the message.
Remember, Unity Connection's interface and options might vary slightly based on the version you're using, so make sure to refer to the documentation relevant to your specific version.
As you mentioned, most examples focus on transferring calls. However, with these steps, you can configure Unity Connection to play recorded messages instead of transferring calls, meeting your specific requirements.
