How To Disable CUPC Reverse Number Lookups

I'm running CUP v8.5 and (I think) I have a simple question - how do I disable reverse number lookups on incoming calls when operating in RCC (Desk Phone Control) mode? CUP has an option to specify an LDAP profile so you can add directory users to your contact list, however, the LDAP directory we run is a little odd in that some users may share a phone number. The problem that this creates is when a user is calling you from that number it pulls the wrong name (it seems to choose the alphabetically highest name).

Any ideas on how I can retain the LDAP integration but disable the reverse number lookup?

Hi,

You can disable the reverse lookup  through the service parameter.

Under System -> Service parameters -->Cisco UC SIP Proxy, adjust the SIP Proxy Parameter called "A-Record IP Lookup" and set it to "OFF". Hopes this will help.

That is reverse lookup for DNS records and not what Darren is asking about. We have the same problem and I would also want to turn that off.
