Hi,
need some hints how to upgrade a hardware CUCM in Version 7 to a virtualized platform in version 9.x or better 10.x
Is that possible? How to do that? How to handle licenses?

Hi,
Yes, u can do the upgrade from CUCM 7 to 9.
You can also refer the link
https://supportforums.cisco.com/blog/154681
For licenses, u need to follow the points
a. Upload all the unused PAK to CUCM 7 prior to upgrading to 9.
b. Run the LCU 9.1.2 tool on PC which has reachability to Publisher. The same u can download
http://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=283782839&flowid=45898&softwareid=282204704&release=COP-Files&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest
c.The file needs to be shared with licensing team for getting Licneses for CUCM 9 which is on ELM[enterprise license manager].You also need to have ESW and UCSS contract for doing major upgrades.
regds,
