Re: Outbound Fax on Unity 4.0.4

Hi,

We have setup inbound and outbound fax with Unity 4.0.4 , gateway and Exchange 2003.

Inbound is working fine.

Outbound fax on the gateway is working also, if I send a e-mail to the router it is send no problems.

But when I send from Outlook to the FAXBOX it goes to the inbox of FAXBOX but when the CsIpFaxSvc Service processes the message the following message appear on the LOG..

"2004-10-14","10:53:12","Found message fax box cannot handle - deleting - Code: 0x0. Method: CIpFaxCdoHelper::ProcessFaxInbox.

What's the subject on the mail you send to the fax box? Check the help file on the IP Fax Configuration Wizard - it includes the exact format the service is parsing out to find the delivery number for the target fax machine...

The subject must be: [FAXPHONE=1234], where 1234 is the number that you want the router to dial.

That's something in the rendering engine itself. What exactly were you attaching? Usually one litmus test can be done as follows: copy the attachment in question to the unity server, log in to the unity server and double-click the file (it needs to be able to open an appropriate application). Now click print. Another thing would be to run "pdfilcnv mydoc.xyz -Fmydoc.tif" from a command line in the IPFaxConfigWizard\ImageMaker directory. If all that doesn't help check out (or post) the C:\ImgMaker\Conversion_Toolkit\log\ODCDAEMON.log and C:\log\ImageMakerDocCnvrt Driver.txt files. You may also want to try just an email without an attachment (it still has to render the coverpage and the message body) just to make sure basic rendering works. Don't forget that after the install, a reboot is/was required.

I think I did something wrong at the setup, I unnistall the fax service and installed again and its working fine now...

Hi,

I thought was working...

I just reinslled the server but the conversion still fails. I had to make manual setup of ImgMaker, i dont know why the IPFaxWizard call the IMGMAKER setup but it just fliker on the screen. So, I did a setup /s of IMG MAKER. ( is this wrong ?, do I need MS office on the server ? )
