hi guys,
i have a customer with cucm cluster ver 10.5 (yep..not a joke). with all certs expired. they dont maintain. only the ipsec cert is valid so the backup works fine.
anyways the question is, we are planning on migrating it to 14 or even 15.
1. plan A : install the ciscocm.enable-sha512sum-2021-signing-key-v1.0.cop.sgn and ciscocm.DataExport_v3.0.k4.cop.sha512 patches on cucm servers and export it using 'utils system upgrade data export initiate'
or
2. plan B: install PCD and migrate (network migration).
i would like to go with plan B, so i dont really have to install anything on cucm 10.5 at all. but in order for pcd to discover the old cluster, does it expect some certificates on old cluster to be valid? such as tomcat for http communication? becuase all of them are expired on old cluster.
please let me know.
thanks a bunch

Choose Plan B. AFAIK it does not check the certificate

yes it was able to discover the cluster without issue. the old cluster is not configured with dns/domain.
currently when i setup the migration cluster on PCD with new network settings, it is not allowing me to put in DNS/domain entry for the cluster. it is grayed out. could it be because the old cluster has no dns?
