Since Cisco has EOL the PBXlink and wants us to use PIMG. Is Unity failover supported in PIMG to connect to a Nortel Meridian.

Thanks

Just to be clear, Unity failover with PIMG is supported starting with Unity 4.1(1).

This doc has information on setting it up:

It shouldnt matter what Unity server the PIMG is connected. IN the PIMG web page, you can configure a backup SIP server (unity failover)

I have quite got mine to work properly yet. And now I am in production.. I have limited time to play with it. We are using the PIMGs until we have everyone migrated over to callmanager off our Rolm system.

I also have a production PIMG cluster on a Siemens switch with failover, this one is tested and working correctly. One word of caution, there was a doc on CCO stating that PIMG supported failover in 4.0(5) dated Oct 2005, a new version of that doc came out in the spring of 06 saying 4.2 was the min ver to support it.

I haven't done any PIMG's with Nortel specifically but it does say that 4.1 and up it should work: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps2237/prod_configuration_guide09186a0080430d68.html
