Hello,
i'm trying to configure my cucm 9.1.2 to send CDR record to an prime collaboration 9.5 but the cucm cannot connect to the sftp service on the prime server. Any ideas how to check if the SFTP service is running on prime collaboration.
here my config
i even reset the password to smuser on both ends.

Update: I could configure the prime collabration 9.5 as billing server in my call manager. Unfortunately there are still no cdr records send to the server. After restarting the CDR Repository Manager on the publisher i get the following error
The FTP delivery of CDR files to the outside billing server failed.
Perform the following checks:1. Check network link status.2. Verify
that the billing server is running.3. Verify that the SFTP Server on
the billing server is running and accepting requests.4. Verify that
the CDR configuration is correct, under Serviceability > Tools.5.
Check the CDR Repository Manager trace.
network connectivity is ok
cucm seems to send the cdr files (see attached log files)

hello Alex,
Apologies for the delayed response. Here are a few things you can check :
1. check the status of iptables service.
if the iptables service is stopped then you will have to issue a "service iptables start" and then run this command from the console :
iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p tcp --dport 22 -j REDIRECT --to-port 9822
2. You can look for the CDRs at /opt/CSCOpx/qovr/saved directory (this should have logs of both CDR and CMR)
3. if the CDR FTP/SFTP config fails with "check FTP/SFTP" parameters" then reset the CDR Repository Manager under Tools > Service Actiovation Network Services > CDR Repository Manager.
4. Also issue a restart of QOVR process on Prime Collaboration :
ssh root@primecollab -p 26
pdterm QOVR;
Wait for a couple minutes
pdexec QOVR;
wait for the QOVR process to come to "Running normally" state.

Hi Dilip.
I have a freshly installed Prime Collaboration Version: 9.5.34267. I have the same problem as Alex, I can't get the CUCM to accept the Prime Assurance as a vaild place to put the CDR files.
I am trying to test the SFTP server on Prime using Filezilla so I can isolate where the fault is. I followed your steps above but I still cannont connect from Filezilla or CUCM.
Any further pointers or tips you could give me would be much appreciated.
I have attached a copy of the parameters I am putting in CUCM for Prime.

Apologies Aman, I didn't realise you had replied to my post.
IYes, have set the smuser parameters as you can see from my screen shot but I still can't connect from CUCM to dump the CDR files.
I am trying to isloate the fault by using Filezilla to connect to Prime's SFTP server but that doesn't work either. Is that because it is not supported or is that my problem, the SFTP server on Prime is not working?

Hi Tim,
What I can suggest is you try using freeftpd since I have been using that?

I will try freeftpd and see what happens.

Hello all,
In addition to the above steps I outlined, can you also make sure that the
1. TCP Port 22 is open for external communication on PCA server
2. TCP port 9822 is open for internal communication on PCA Server
Run this command as root "iptables -n --list". this should output:
ACCEPT tcp -- 0.0.0.0/0 0.0.0.0/0 tcp dpt:22
ACCEPT tcp -- 0.0.0.0/0 0.0.0.0/0 tcp dpt:9822
also make sure that the discovery of the cluster is successful in Device Work Center and make sure that the Cluster is shown on Call Quality Data Source Management page of PCA under Administration > System Settings > Assuracne Setup > Call Quality Data Source Mgmt
The GUI should report successful status. If not try CUCM publisher rediscovery and wait for few mins for cluster discovery completion.

hi Aman,
You will not be able to connect on port 22. Connection will only be accepted for managed CUCM.
You may see msg like "Connection reset by peer".

I responded by saying :
No, You cannot connect to Prime Collab via sftp as smuser on port 22. You will see the message below. Only the SFTP connections coming in from UCM will be accepted.
HostName~:sftp smuser@cpc1
ssh_exchange_identification: read: Connection reset by peer
Connection closed
Hope things are clear now.
