Prime for Collaboration CUCM http username and password

I've set up the user with the right access, I'm able to login to CUCM 10.5 in the web browser with the user and password that I've set up but Prime keeps saying the HTTP login to CUCM is incorrect.

Any ideas?

PCP talks to CUCM only through the AXL API.  That should have a different login and password that would have been setup in CUCM, and would need the same credentials reflected in the PCP setup for the CUCM AXL interface (in Device Setup).  Refer to the PCP installation guide for more details for adding a new device to PCP.

Regards

I set up a user that has AXL API access.

I'm also following guides here for Prime Collaboration Assurance.

Hi. Did a quick test on my lab, adding CUCM 10.5.2 to PCA 11.5 Standard version. Steps complete successfully as detailed in the documentation. Screenshots are available at https://cisco.box.com/s/cbkqo2xtjtlrfuv21vscnxpe8bg9nj4d. I suggest you use the latest version of PCA available on the Cisco Download site (that is 11.5). /Phil

Maybe I'm missing a permission for the user.  Is there a list somewhere of the exact permissions the user needs?

This is detailed in the Configure Devices for PCA document available at http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Configure_Devices_for_Prime_Collaboration_Assurance#Cisco_Unified_Communications_Manager

and also in the screenshots I sent you:

  • Standard AXL API Access
  • Standard CCM Admin Users
  • Standard SERVICEABILITY Administration

/Phil

I have done all of this.  I updated to 11.5, I added a new user, I added all these permissions, I made sure all of the services are activated.  It still says "Wrong Credentials".  I've changed the password 10 times to make sure it's right.  Nothing seems to be working.

I'm running out of ideas.

Then the only thing I can think of is getting together on a webex session where you can share access to PCA and CUCM so that I can take a look. Just drop me an email to pbeaupie@cisco.com with your availability and I will set up a webex for you. /Phil

Following these instructions to add a device.  https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/net_mgmt/prime/collaboration/11-0/Assurance/Standard/Guide/Cisco-Prime-Collaboration-Assurance-Guide-Standard-11_0/Managing_Devices.html#ID14

I keep getting an invalid credentials error.  I've checked a dozen times and the credentials are correct.

Also, I've tried another product that uses the AXLAPI to monitor CUCM and tried the same user/pass and that product works fine.
