Qsig T-1 using MGCP Configuration

Hello All,

I have a VG310 with a two port T-1 card installed.  I have configured the Gateway as a MGCP in the Call Manager and using qsig.  The Primary call manager shos registered and the other call managers show as backup ready in the VG310.  I have also built out the T-1 in Call Manager and shows unregistered.  All the config in the VG310 for the Qsig T-1 looks correct too.  However, the T-1 in call managershows unregistered.  Will the T-1 only register if the T-1 is connected?  I'm use to building out analog lines in SCCP and when you build the analog ports they show as registered even if they are not connected.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Yes. MGCP backhauls the ISDN Q.931 signaling directly to CUCM so it will be unregistered when the circuit is down.
