Send "Anonymous" as Caller ID on a SIP Call (SBC-CUBE-PSTN)

Hi All,

Need help on changing the caller-id of calls from the SBC to PSTN to show "Anonymous" instead of the DID number. See diagram below, also attached are the SIP INVITEs for the CUBE's Inbound and Outbound direction.

There is some confusion here. As per you last reply The PBX admin is asking you to send the call with either “Anonymous” or “Restricted” as the caller ID, but to where? Inside or outside? If it’s inside, is the call from CUCM or from outside( PSTN)?

What is the reason your PBX admin wants to do this? If this request is only for calls made outside from the PBX, I would suggest they handle it on their system or on the SBC, and not on the CUBE, as it is also shared with the CUCM according to your diagram.

Will the ISP accept calls sent as “Anonymous” if you proceed this way?

You can achieve this by using SIP profiles and applying them to the dial-peer. Here is the document explaining how to do it. Please review it, and if you encounter any challenges, let us know.

Thanks for your response.

The caller-ID "Anonymous" works with our carrier. I tested this by changing the Remote-Party-ID header to "privacy=full"(SIP-Profile)  below and applied it on the CUBE outbound dial-peer 

Remote-Party-ID: "NY L-L-C" <sip:6465559999@10.XX.YY.BB>;party=calling;screen=no;privacy=off

- Issue is if I do this all the calls with be sent with "Anonymous" caller-id.

Only the calls that are made from the PBX/SBC need to be Anonymous and not the calls coming from the CUCM, we are the dial-peer for PSTN calls for both the SBC and CUCM. Apologies that I have not included that information on my initial post.

same as Nithin Eluvathingal  wrote  check with you ISP for "anonymous " , some provider don't accept that and at least if they don't reject the call they will sen the default installation or network id (pilot) as clip 

 you can also achieve this by clid command under  configuration of the dial-peer

Even if your ITSP accepts Anonymous, will the people you are trying to reach answer the phone without any caller id? If your company is calling me that way, the answer would be a resounding NO!

I understand that the called party might not pick up,  but the PBX admin are requiring us to send calls with either "Anonymous" or "Restricted" as caller ID.  

clid restrict  from sbc to cube and from cube condition if clid is restricted  from that @ SBC domain so send "anonymous"  to pstn  by modifying sip profile

for anonymous calls to pstn only two conditions have to be matched

1)prefix dialed "called"

2)and the incoming called prefix to pstn is from pbx/sbc domain desturi or via

or the use of Inbound Leg Headers for Outbound Dial-Peer Matching and apply anonymous profile
