Hi,
We have CME in Singapore and CUCM in swiss. IF we want to create a trunk which one would recommendable either H323 or SIP?
Please do clarify.
Thanks,

There is not any specific reason why you will be choosing H323 over a SIP trunk or vice versa. Below is a thread wherein it had been discussed earlier as well that provides some good pointers on this

If the versions are recent, i.e. 8+ use SIP, if any side has older release use H323.

Hi Chris,
1.You mean to say V8 laters are recommended for SIPTrunk, then the older versions would go by H323 trunks. Correct me if I am worng.
Thanks,

Prior to Unified CM 8.5, H.323 Annex M1 trunks were the preferred choice for connections between Unified CM clusters.

Exactly, so since one of your sides is version 7, H323 would be recommanded.

Hi Abhilash,
Just to add one point other than excellent feedbacks provided before, SIP trunk could be a preferred choice in terms of ease of troubleshooting. Many people (like me too :) don't feel very much comfortable while troubleshooting many aspects of H.323 because of its inherent complexity. On the other side, SIP makes it relatively simple. However if you're equally comfortable working on both the protocols, it's a matter of choice then.
