I am trying to implement a feature where user extensions are XXXX, and they can transfer a call directly into a voicemailbox by transferring to #XXXX. I have call manager set up, the calls get into Unity, but are only going to the opening greeting, not the users mailbox.
Any help would be appreciated.

Yes
Say your extensions are in the range 7XXX. Create a routepoint with number #7XXX, Cfwdall to voice mail.
Create a voice mail profile with voicemail mask XXXX and apply this profile to the CTI route point.

Sankar -
Would this work if my extensions were xxxx, but the unity voicemail boxes were xxxxxxx (7digit) We have a large over lapping DID's, so we had to use 7digit unity mailbox numbers to keep it all central.
Thanks

Hi -
You are getting the Opening greeting because the digits you are passing are not identified to Unity as a subscriber. Not sure if this is what you are looking for but may help with your consideration:
- Incoming calls to user's phone, can hit IDivert softkey to route incoming call directly to his or her inbox. We are running CCM 4.1.3sr1 and this soft key is available in the key template.
- You can route a call directly to a user's inbox by dialing the Unity remote access number and when you hear the Opening Greeting, dial xxxx#2. You immediately hear the user's greeting and you can leave a message. So in this case, you would:
1. Hit Transfr soft key
2. Dial Unity remote access number
3. Dial xxxx#2
3. Press the Transfr soft key again to transfer the caller into the user's voicemail

We have a published tech note on how to set this up.

We have also have a work around right now.
Hit the transfer button, dial the unity pilot number, then the users extension follow by #2.
hang up then.
cheers.
