Hi,
We are planning upgrade of our 30 plus customer's UC clusters from 11.5 Su8 to 12.5. This seems to be a time taking after hours job since there are many steps involved.
Is it possible to build a brand new 12.5 cluster and migrate everything over from the the 11.5 cluster and make the new 12.5 cluster as primary?
Or is this way of upgrade/migration possible using PCD ?
If it is possible, then are there any documentation available describing steps involved ?
Thanks
Ajith

PCD will Build brand new 12.5 cluster for your. Before building the new cluster, it export data from old cluster. If you are using same IP setting for new cluster it turn OFF the old servers and build new cluster, import the data.
You can schedule it during non working hours and PCD will Start task by itself.

You can use PCD to migrate the Cluster. This gone save a lot of time, as it automate the migrations steps.
Go through CUCM Upgrade and Migration Guide & PCD administration guide it covers all required informations.
With CUCM 12.5 SU5(still not released) and 14, you can export the data from old cluster and do a fresh install using the old data.

Hi Nithin,
Thank you for your quick reply and thanks for sharing the news about 12.5 Su5
Just to understand the PCD migration process.... is it as below
1. Build a brand new 12.5 cluster.
2. Discover the new 12.5 and the existing 11.5 clusters in PCD.
3. PCD will migrate all the data from 11.5 to12.5 ???
Thank you !
