Unity Connection 7.1.5 nested PDL issue

Hi,

I'm having an issue where when users send message to a Public Distribution List, with nested PDLs it fails after the 16th member in the list.

This is on 7.1.5b SU2 (31900-18). I have looked at SU3 / SU4 release notes and don't see anything with distribution lists fixed.

Anyone seen this behavior before?

Thanks, Erick

Update on this, still working with TAC but it is failing when any DL is nested in the System Distibution List.

Any ideas?

This issue is due to the following bug, go under advanced settings for messaging and uncheck the

"Use Access Lists to Control Who Can Send to System   Distribution Lists" option.

CSCtj83381 Bug Details

Top of Form

Allow Delivery to DLs That Have No Access List option does not   work

Symptom:
In Cisco Unity Connection, messages sent to a system distribution list that   does not have an access list are not delivered, and the sender gets a   non-delivery report (NDR).

Conditions:
This has been observed in Connection 8.0 when the following Advanced Messaging   settings are enabled:
-- Use Access Lists to Control Who Can Send to System Distribution Lists
-- Allow Delivery of Messages to System Distribution Lists That Have No   Access List

Workaround:
If you want "Use Access Lists to Control Who Can Send to System   Distribution Lists" to be enabled, you will need to create an access   list for all system distribution lists
