Unity Connection Call Forwarding

mumbles202

Working on a situation with a 8.6 Unity Connection server that answers the main incoming line.  After hours a different call handler is called, which plays a greeting and attempts a transfer to the user in the system.  That user has their CFA set to an external number.  This all works fine, but when you pull the CDR data you get the number of the VM port as the original calling number rather than the external number that placed the call.  Would setting the flag in Service parameters for "Display Original Calling Number on Transfer from Cisco Unity Required Field" to true address this without any negative consequences?

Thanks for confirming.  It did the trick; going forward I might just make that a part of every deployment as I can't see a reason why you wouldn't want it enabled.

Hi David,

I agree with our friend Java here 100% (+5 Java)

This setting should really probably be the default setting and has been configured on every system I've ever worked on. It's very benign and won't cause you any issues!

Cheers!

Rob

Would this same setting apply in v10.5? If so, where do I find it to change it?
