We have a client, who upgraded Unity connection from 8.5 to 10.5.2 recently. After awhile, some user report that the deleted messages are coming back to their mail box. This client has not setup single inbox. So Exchange synchronization shouldn't the issue.
User cleared(deleted) messages from either Phone or from Jabber Clients. Strangely, every once in awhile , some user report their deleted messages come back to their mailbox.
I have checked DB synchronization all is fine -- well synchronized. Rebooted the cluster all good but after a week or so this problem still come back.
More over, there are users report that Caller hear their "mail box is full", can not leave message, but check the system, to find that their mail box has "0" messages in it. After I flip the Mail Box quote from System setting to default setting and back, then error "MailBox is full" disappeared.
It is very strange, looks some outside device is interfere, Mail Boxes , but what will that be ?
Appreciate if someone have an idea what is happening ?
Thanks !

If the ageing policy is in place and replication is fine in the Unity Connection cluster then you should engage Cisco TAC.

Thanks Manish for replying .
Yes , the replication looks fine , and be verified by Cisco TAC. Finally have to engage the business unity TAC to further check.
Turned out there is a Bug that is causing this situation.
The solution is to upgrade CUC to the new release ! The release available at the time when the upgrade happened to have hit the bug (CSCut13696)
Best Regards :)

The solution to be found to be bug related -- upgrade to new release was the answer :)
