Since the PIMG is EOL, I have a Unity Connection integration question.
Is it possible to integrate Unity Connection via SIP to a Nortel CS1000 such that calls to and from voicemail will be delivered and MWI will light on the Nortel phones?
I have checked the interoperabiltiy portal, and there is no Unity Connection information.

Hi Paul,
Only the Mitel and Rolm PIMG units are EOS/EOL:
The Analog and Digital PIMG units are still available.
Unity Connection does not support a direct SIP integration to the Nortel CS1000. Unity Connection would require CUCM-SME in between the Nortel CS1000 and Unity Connection. Note that with CUCM-SME 8.5 and later, there is now the ability to create SIP normalization scripts to take care of the voicemail integration issues documented here:

Hello, would this be the only possible solution today?
I am looking for different options to integrate CUC with a Avaya CS1000.

Mike,
Do you happen to have a copy of this or a newer version? It is no longer a valid link.

Another option is to integrate it with a QSIG PRI. I have done this with an MGCP gateway running QSIG registered to CUCM and the PRI side connected to a CS1000. I don't know if it is possible to do it without CUCM. I suppose it might be possible to have a SIP integration between Unity and CME, and you could have the appropriate dial peers in CME to point the DN's down the QSIG PRI to the CS1000.
