Hi Everyone
My manager wants to upgrade our connection cluster from 10.5.1 to 11.0(1). The question that I have is I went to the Cisco website and it was saying that I needed to request the software through PUT. But I was on the page to download a 5gig ISO that I could use for upgrading, so do I really need to request the file or will this one work, I took a screen shot of what I saw and I've attached it to the post.

I don't think PLM 10.5 is compatible with any 10.5 product, so you'd need to upgrade your CUCM as well.

The reason you need to go via PUT is to obtain the license PAK for new major version. Remember UCXN is licensed on your PLM server, so if that is different server from your UCXN server you may need to consider upgrading that as well.

Thanks for helping me out Chris, I do have one more question. My PLM server is my CUCM PUB and I wanted to know is a big deal if I don't upgrade CUCM to 11 as well.

Hi Eric,
+5 to our friend Chris for his great thoughts on this topic! Just thought that I would add that there is also a significant benefit to having a "bootable" copy on DVD of any version you are currently running just in case you ever need to rebuild/add a node etc. etc.
Cheers!
Rob
