OK, hopefully a dumb question, but does Unity 4.0(3) support both AMIS and VPIM at the same time?
Not that we want to do this, but we're being told it can't by our other VM vendor. Basically we have some legacy (non-Unity) sites on AMIS and we want to add the new sites via VPIM.
They're saying we either need to get AMIS on Unity or do VPIM on all the other sites (@~$225K) because they can't do both at the same time either. Seems remarkable fishy to me.
TIA,
Jeff

A single Unity server can talk to other voice mail systems using AMIS, VPIM and/or Bridge - all three if you like (and you've bought the licenses for them).
Be aware, you can't use Unity as a "wagon wheel" here - so you can't send an AMIS message to Unity and have us "relay" it to a VPIM user on another system... but we can talk to systems using any of the protocols supported on a single box.

Sorry to beat a dead horse here, but...
So it is possible to have, for example, location 926 be another Unity, 927 be a VPIM location, 928 an AMIS and so on? In other words as long as the location IDs aren't duplicated any location can use any licensed protocol? (Again, being told "can't do it" all VPIM HAVE to be in a separate number block from AMIS, etc.)
TIA,
Jeff
