Webex Calling and CUBE Destination-pattern bad.bad

For integration of Webex Calling with local gateway for PSTN call,  I seen in many cisco document the destination-pattern bad.bad in several dial peers for both incoming and outgoing calls.

What does it mean bad.bad destionation in the dial-peers?

It is commonly used when you use DPG, Dial Plan Groups, that sets the outbound dial peer based on the inbound dial peer. The pattern as such doesn’t mean anything, it’s just a way to depict that the destination pattern has no use, but is still needed for the operation of the dial peer. So we can use any words like good.good. It does not have any meaning.

Not all characters are possible to use, but as long as it’s present you can use it.

You’re limited to DTMF characters, so 0-9ABCD*# (the . is a wildcard character). Outbound dial-peers require a destination to go active.
