Hi Jackson,

Yes its is possible.    Connect the storage array to the fabric interconnects using two 10GB links per storage processor.  Connect each SP to both fabric interconnects and configure the ports on the fabric interconnect as “Appliance” ports from UCSM

For more information on how to connect Netapp storage using other protocols like iSCSI or FCOE  please check the url below.

Hi Guys,

Is it possible to configure private vlans in UCS and VMWare 5.5 vDS to a 3750 core without a Nexus 1k, Nexus 5k or Nexus 7k? Any information on this setup would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Hi Teclus,

Thanks for the your answer.  One more question for you.  How can I check whether my UCS setup is compatible and supported?

Jackson

Hi Jackson,

You can use the below compatibility matrix  and check the same.

Hi Teclus and Chetan,

Can I have my fabric interconnect connected to two different upstream switches? Please help.

thank you,

Sebastian

Hi Sebastian,

I am not sure if you got the answer to this.   Yes the FI's should be connected to 2 different upstream switches as this is a recommended  topology .

Thank you Teclus.  This helps very much. Also, I know that Fabric interconnect operate in NPV mode by default. Can the fabric interconnect/UCS work in NPIV mode? If yes what is the configuration needed?

Sebastian
