Hello,
This will be our first deployment using UCS 2.x with 5108/B200/6248UP/M81KR Cisco hardware with an EMC VNX5100 directly connected to the Interconnects.
I was wondering if anyone had a cheat sheet/cookbook for these boot from SAN architectures?
Thanks

Hi,
You can refer to the link below for boot from san settings.
This is a generic document and not specific to your configuration, and it only covers the UCS configuration. But it looks like a good place to start from.

I hope this is helpful.

In addition to the above document. You can also refer the below link to install ESX on UCS blades.

hx,
Be aware you will not have the ability to zone since you are direct connecting to the FI's

yes, storage masking from the array side is available, but when you direct connect to the FI's, you have no means of zoning.
