cables connection Tshooting

Hi All

How can I know from the UCSM tech. support files or any logs that the L1-L2 cables connected incorrectly

also if the FI to IOM cables connected incorrectly?

Amr,

In the show tech you will not be able to see a message saying "hey, L1 is connected to L2" but at least you can get a UCSM tech support you can go to the var>sysmgr> sam_controller and you will see the cluster negotiation messages.

For the IOM cables you can also go to the UCSm tech support> sw_tech_support and then search for "show interface fex-fabric", you can see this on each FI and that will show you the IOMs connected to that specific Fabric.

 

Note: I am giving you the files names I have at the top of my head, they may be slightly different when you see them in the show tech.
